Our Program Continues.
1. What was the highlight of your day yesterday?
Getting home! It was so nice to be in my house instead of a van or a cheap hotel room.
2. Whose car were you in last?
My grandmother's.
3. When is the next time you are going to kiss someone?
It would be awesome if I could answer that.
4. What color shirt are you wearing?
Black.
5. How long is your hair?
It's down to my shoulders now. I need to get it cut again. It's starting to look silly, and my bangs are now too long to function as bangs.
6. Last movie you watched?
"Psycho." Bonus points: I watched it on the way to a motel, where I later took a shower.
7. Last thing you drank?
Ginger tea.
8. Last thing you ate?
Macaroni and cheese with cut-up pieces of Spam in it. Because my brother is the best cook ever.
9. Where did you sleep last night?
In my bed.
10. Are you happy right now?
Yeah. I was stressed out about some things earlier today and yesterday, but at this very moment, I'm feeling pretty good.
11. What did you say last?
"Wow." I was reacting to something I heard on the podcast I'm listening to, but I already forgot what it was.
12. Where is your phone?
My old cell phone is on the coffee table in the living room. My new, and as yet un-activated, phone is probably in my backpack. I think. I guess I should go check.
13. What was the last museum you went to?
That would be the Science Museum of Minnesota. We were supposed to go to the Spam Museum on our way back from Colorado, but alas, we got behind schedule and had to skip it.
14. What color are your eyes?
They are hazel.
15. Who came over last?
One of Ben's friends. I can't keep track of their names.
16. When was the last time you had your heart broken?
Roughly nine months ago.
17. Who/what do you hate/dislike currently?
I am not very pleased with the fact that T-Mobile is making it extremely difficult for me to keep my old number.
18. What are you listening to?
"This American Life."
19. If you could have one thing right now what would it be?
A four-year scholarship to the college of my choice. Housing and books included.
20. What is the best smell?
Doughnuts.
21. Who is always there when you need someone to talk to?
Sakari. Emotionally, if not physically.
22. What were you doing at midnight last night?
Watching TV.
23. Are you left-handed?
Nope.
24. What's for dinner tonight?
Beef stew.
26. When is your birthday?
December 17th. Disturbingly close, in other words.
27. Who was the last person to send you a text message?
T-Mobile, alerting me to the fact that I still have the number I don't want.
29. Where was the last place you went shopping?
Barnes and Noble. I had to buy "The New Kings of Nonfiction."
30. How do you feel about your hair right now?
I need to cut it. And wash it, more immediately. It gets greasy way too quickly.
31. Do you have any expensive jewelry?
Nope.
32. AIM or MSN?
AIM.
33. Where does most of your family live?
Around here. Other groupings of them live in California, Colorado and Wisconsin.
34. Are you an only child or do you have siblings?
I have a younger brother.
35. Would you consider yourself to be spoiled?
Maybe a little. But only in the sense that I'm not used to adult responsibilities yet; I don't think I'm a particularly coddled teenager.
36. What was the first thing you thought when you woke up?
Hey, it's noon. Good thing I don't have to do anything today.
37. Do you drink beer?
I do.
38. Myspace or Facebook?
I'm on both. Facebook is categorically better in just about every way possible, but I have friends who are only on MySpace, so I do both.
40. What is/was your favorite subject in school?
English. Or film, once I started going to MCTC.
41. What type of boy/girl do you usually fall for?
I'm not really sure that I have a type. I've been attracted to a lot of very different guys. As far as guys I've actually had relationships (or pseudo-relationships) with, the only common thread I can find is that they were all very loud.
42. Do you have any hidden talents?
No. On the contrary, I actually have mock talents that aren't really real.
43. Have you ever been in a wedding?
Nope.
44. Do you have any children?
Not a one.
45. Did you take a nap today?
No.
46. Ever met someone famous?
I ran into Howie Mandel at the L.A. airport when I was in eighth grade.
47. Do you want to be famous one day?
I do, and it's kind of sad. Not only because of my burning yen for attention and validation, but also because a lot of famous people tend to be rich.
48. Are you multitasking right now?
I’m doing this and listening to podcasts. So yes.
49. Could you handle being in the military?
No, I could not.
50. What is your average cell phone bill?
It's prepaid, so. . . I don't really know. I kind of don't keep track. I just buy new cards when I have to.
51. Do you believe in karma?
When it suits me.
52. Been to Las Vegas?
No.
53. What are you doing today?
Going to YPC to drop off my headshot and pick up my YAC jacket, going to the library, and going to work, where I have to discuss my scheduling issues with my least favorite manager.
54. Have you ever been gambling?
No. I do not understand why people gamble at all.
56. Have you been to New York City?
No. I really, really want to.
57. Have you ever been to Disney Land/World?
No, and I don't want to at all.
58. Do you have a favorite cartoon character?
Invader Zim!
59. Last thing you cooked?
Ravioli from a can.
60. Stupidest thing you've ever done with your cell phone?
I've lost it outdoors on a couple of occasions.
61. Last time you were sick?
I'm kind of getting sick right now.
62. Random fact about you?
My cat has psychogenic alopecia, which means that she compulsively pulls out her own fur.
I have been contacted on Facebook by the mom of one of my friends, and while I'm sure this is totally ageist and horrible, it kind of weirds me out. Seriously, though. Worlds are colliding here.
Next time: An extremely belated account of my weekend in Kansas City.
ETA: Just as I was posting this entry, the hosts of Battleship Pretension said these very words:
"If you wanna go to college, but you don't really like school, like if you're in high school and you're like, 'God, school sucks, but I wanna go to college,' go to film school, man."
"Absolutely. Even more so, go to Columbia College Chicago. I mean, I know people who really hated their college experience, and I did not. And it's because I pretty much got to take classes that I wanted to take."
I think I need to reapply there, like, the very second that I get my two-year degree.
